Online Investing -- Crowdfunding
New media
technologies created opportunities for collaboration and creativity, and have proliferated
various forms of investing options. My consideration for the research project is
to touch on the growing popularity of online investing, particularly crowdfunding.
Crowdfuding has relied on a community of people and the Internet for the
purpose of raising money for several purposes and projects. It has become a tactic
for collaborating people with similar interest and it shows the creativity of
the issuer to trigger stories that can be well perceive and convincing to get
attention. This topic aligned with new media because it is the evolving
technology that is changing the way things are being done. Crowdfunding as a
form of online investing will be studied in connection with other ways to acquire
money online. Also, the security of information exchanged over the internet and
the implications of crowdfunding will be discussed.
